It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years since we launched American Life Real Estate. When we first made the decision to enter the real estate industry, we were fully aware that the path would not be an easy one.

Selling real estate, in particular, is far from straightforward, and every day has been filled with trial and error. In the beginning, we didn’t know how long it would take or how much effort would be required. Honestly, it was much more than we had imagined. As someone from Tokyo, I also had my doubts and uncertainties, especially when it came to handling properties in the Tokyo area.

In fact, just a few months ago, we started showcasing high-end properties, worth over 100 million yen, on our website. Initially, I wondered, "Will these expensive properties really sell?" It was a lingering doubt in my mind. Despite these concerns, we proceeded with showcasing the properties and continued our sales activities.

To our surprise, they started selling. We received far more responses than we anticipated, and the sales were progressing. This outcome made me realize something important: even though the economy is often described as being in a downturn, it’s only one aspect of the broader picture. While the overall economy may be challenging, different industries experience varying market conditions, and there are sectors where demand still exists.

The real estate industry is one of those sectors, and particularly in Tokyo and other major cities, there is still demand for high-value properties, with buyers actively looking for them. Through this experience, I’ve come to reaffirm the importance of perseverance and continuous effort. Even in the face of challenges, if you approach them strategically and understand the market, results will follow.
